was surprised when my parent's Christmas gift was a ticket for me for a flight to see my older sister. I'm adopted, and my older sister grew up in a different home than I did. Molly has different parents (adopted ones), but she is my half sister.
I'm 17 years old, and when I was 13, I made a mistake of making a racist comment on my birthday. My dad heard what I said, and told my Biological family what I said. I've been spending the following years getting subtle hints from loved ones, who were trying to find out if I truly am racist (I'm not), but I hate that no one even CONSIDERS the possibility that I'm remorseful.
My sister once approached the topic in a subtle manner, trying not to make me realize what she was getting at. I love my older sister, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life running from this! I have been pretending that the plane ticket was the best gift I could have received (and normally it would be) but I'm just sick of the guilt. Why can't anyone just Fu*k off?
