my friend knows i like him and i want to ask him to our dance, but he keeps on giving me mixed signals...like he looks at me in a really thoughtful and attracted way and does it at least a hundred times a day. but when he's not with me and with his friends he says bad things about me. like im awkward or annoying... he's my friend and we've hungout a couple times but never alone. if i try to talk to him i freeze up. if anyone asks him if he likes me he says no immidiately...we used to talk but now it's kind of awkward. i don't want things to be awkward between us, but i do want him to at least try to get to know me before deciding whether he likes me or not. should i confront him about this? i just don't know if he's still him, or a lost cause.
