I have several questions about a jaywalking ticket..could anyone answer this?

i got a jaywalking ticket about 2 months ago
it says i have to pay $180
also it shows a court date which is july something
but i missed it because i had some summer class in the morning
if i pay $180, then i dont need to show up at court?
or regardless of paying, i still need to show up at court ?

and another question,
do i still have a chance to get another court date
and ask the judge to reduce the price of the ticket?
i still did not pay for the ticket yet ,,,by the way..

this is really stressful...
