Or if he's on the soccer team or any other sport ask him how it is etc or if there's a match coming up ask him if he's going and if he's excited! You could also talk about tv \"hey, _____ did you watch _____ last night?\" Make sure its not a girlie show though.... If u know anything he's interested just ask him about it....
