Need to find the cemetery that my friend is resting in?

A friend of mine died last year. Since then I have been looking for where she is burried. I emailed her funeral ceremony director to ask him for information, but that was last year and I have not recieved a response. I have tried looking up her name under various cemetery searches, but all of these web pages want money for the records.. I don't know what to do. I cannot contact her family or friends because I have no idea where they are at this time. I know the state and town where she supposedly is, but unfortunatly, can't figure ou my next step, considering the town has more then 6 cemeteries in the area. Can someone please provode useful info??
