I'm in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend ... I live in the U.S. (Portland) and my boyfriend lives in the Philippines. I went there for a vacation for 1 month and on June of 2010 is when I met him and we got closer and became more then friends and fall in love for each other .... but the bad thing was that I have to come back to U.S. and leave him in the Philippines . and we were only 16 years old . and that's when our long distance relationship started ..... until now we still have the love we had when we first saw each other. we always call each other and also chat on facebook and webcam too. and now we are 19months being together but still in a long distance relationship. and we are both 18 years old now. were planing to get married in 2016 and have our own family someday after we finish school . and also planning to bring him here in the U.S. with me after we get married ...... would you do everything to be with someone you love even if it's a long distance relationship ??? cause I would 100% i will !

You can do what ever you want in regards with your relationship. I salute you from being focus on what you have to achieve first before you settle down. Plan your future, it's better for the both of you to have dedication in everything you do. Finish school, find job for your future to be secure. Never do things that will affect your relationship. or:hey, i know your post has been out for some time, however i couldnt help but say something. i never believed in long distance because it is chaos! too many insecurities sometimes, and you tend to miss the person too and the time difference dont help. it is both a great thing and a bad thing. its great because its a test of a challenge of how much you mean to eachother but its also not great because it is torture to be away for so long and everybody can agree that there's more bad that can happen than good. At least thats what i believed in before. i totally get the craziness of doing this now. i met this guy and i just cant walk away from him no matter where the bloody hell he is at. whenever we would argue or after a fight, i just cant stay mad for very long, and i start thinking like i should just stop hurting myself with all this BS but, it doesnt take very long that my anger dies out and its all rosy again. i miss him even more instead of feeling distant. And that just something that doesnt happen to me, and i knew then he is worth doing this with a 1000%. Hence, the point is if i guy cant make you feel and do all that then no one should pursue a long distance rela with anyone..but i guess for me not this time around. :) i hope you guys are still going strong. I know i am for i already booked that ticket to finally see him after 10 long months..just 14 more days to go. :) :)
