The theme of this year's convention is “The Rosary is Our Spiritual Weapon for Peace” which will be held on October 2 through October 4,2022 in Downtown Mobile. The 2022 Biking for Babies Nationwide Ride started on July `11th  and ends on July 16th. Riding on behalf of 2B on the Mississippi Route is McGill-Toolen alumni, Griffin Wacker. Ashley has been an employee of the Archdiocese of Mobile since 2010 and comes to us after 12 years of teaching at St. Mary Catholic School. Ashley focuses on the dignity of each person in building relationships, and is looking forward to continuing to serve the people of our Archdiocese in her new ministry. Ashley is passionate about her Catholic faith and is thankful for the opportunity to serve God’s people in this new way. Ashley is inspired daily by her husband Deacon Mark Thompson and their three children Andrew, Caleb and Anna Catherine. It is a blessing to have our youth show their support of the pro-life mission and allows us to offer free pregnancy testing, prenatal and parenting classes, and material assistance to clients. Mother's day celebrationsThe Ministries of St. Teresa of Calcutta Senior Services and 2B Choices for Women hosted Mother's Day celebrations for their lovely ladies. Participants made beautiful Second Line umbrellas and participated in a game of Bingo with prizes.  Lunch was served with delicious  Moon Pies and King Cake. Nothing better than Conecuh Sausage with red beans and rice and all the sides for a delicious dinner. Thanks to the Conecuh Sausage Company  in Evergreen for providing 50 cookbooks for our clients.CSS MOBIle New Disablility ministry managerCatholic Social Services happily announces the hiring of Mrs. Jeanie Still to lead our Disability and Ministry Services in Mobile. She is available to work with parishioners or non-parishioners who have intellectual and developmental disabilities; persons with mental illness; persons blind or visually impaired, as well as persons who are facing other physical challenges. If those in need of services are unable to come to our office, Mrs. Still is available to make a home visit. Group activities will resume in March.  Beginning March 2nd, Mrs. Still will be in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  WPMI/NBC 15 charity spotlight feature on Catholic Social Services home repair program       The Home Repair Program of Catholic Social Services was featured on NBC 15's McConnell Automotive's  Charity Spotlight on Friday January 28, 2022. We were blessed to have the seminarians from  St. John Vianney Seminary volunteering their time during their winter break to serve the community.
