I work onprogramming languages, with a particular focus on language featuresfor writing concurrent programs. I’m also interested in distributedsystems and personal computing. Pleasecontact me to discuss your needs and myavailability.Research interestsMy research focuses onNetwork-Aware Programming:the design and implementation of programming languages thatincorporate ideas from distributed systems and networking.More broadly, I’m interested in interpretation very generally, both thehorizontal kind that crops up when two programs exchange data across acommunications interface of some kind, and the vertical kind thatappears when you have a host/guest relationship, such as that betweena virtual machine and an operating system, or between a physicalserver and a hypervisor, or between an interpreter and a program, orbetween a program and its configuration files.
