12 year old in level 1 gymnastics?

Can a 12 year old be a level 1 in gymnastics im in 7th grade middle school and i cant do a cartwheel,i cant do a straight forward roll,i never tried a backward roll,and i cant do a handstand im tall im like 5"4 or 5"5 im not tall tall but tall i wear a size 8 in shoe so you know thats tall so if i am a level 1 will i be with 3 year old girls( little kids) or girls my age

or:Well it might be harder and more frustrating right now ,but yeah you should try gymnastics and see how classes go or private lessons. Since your older hopefully you will learn faster. Start now before you regret it and your 18 and then you really can't. I'm twelve too and I'm in gymnastics.
