Bought a new phone (Walmart), forgot password, bought another. Daughter would like a new phone -- needs to reset Google password on 1st one? It locked up on "knock code". Got it going again but then google wouldn't let me in without password. Salesman set it up -- what I wrote down wouldn't work and we can't remember. "Reset to factory" status doesn't work without password. Tried to talk to someone at google -- no luck.

or:Log into mail.google.com and click \"Forgot password\". Google makes it ridiculously hard to enter an acceptable PW, but ridiculously easy to reset it.And the whole point of a password is that you don't forget it. If that's a problem then use your own name.
