3 months ago I had strep and got antibiotics from the doc, I stopped taking them when I was better.?

... Im pretty sure i have strep again and my moms saying because i didnt finish the meds it was still in me and i just got sick from it months later.

or:Mom is right! The doctor gave you a full course to follow for a reason. Just because you felt better at the time doesn't mean the bacteria was gone. Not finishing your antibiotic can cause the bacteria to become resistant to that type of antibiotic. This is how we get super bugs like mrsa. You need to get another throat culture, and finish the complete course of antibiotic. And don't forget to tell your doctor you didn't finish your first one.
