4-seat pickup - is there a smaller option?

Were looking to buy an all-round vehicle - something with 4 seats but that we can also use to move plants, compost etc. Looking at the Nissan Navarra-

We're looking to buy an all-round vehicle - something with 4 seats but that we can also use to move plants, compost etc. Looking at the Nissan Navarra-type vehicles, they look great but are huge with big, thirsty engines. Is there something out there which has the same qualities, but is a smaller, lighter, cheaper vehicle?
