My 5 year old, who he also shares houses with his grandmother (he's my stepson, mother isn't involved) I had him completely potty trained than 1 night he had a accident at his grandmother's and she put him back in diapers. We didn't know this. We noticed him doing it more often just shrugged it off as accidents. Than he told us grandma puts "big boy pants" on him. Big boy pants not meaning underwear but pull ups!!! Since than I cannot get him out of them. Tried the no pull ups, he still pees and poops himself daily. Tried talking to him. Nothing. When he poops and pees himself he says he doesn't want to go to the bathroom and that he don't want to get out of bed cause he will be cold. HELP!!!! I've tried everything. He just won't go to the bathroom anymore. He starts kindergarten in Sept and I'm so afraid of what's going to happen when he does. I don't want children to make fun of him or having the school call me about this issue.. just don't know how to go about this anymore and I'm loosing my patience.
:(

or:Try and bribe him with something he likes, stickers maybe or some other small toys he receives when he goes to the bathroom. That usually works well. Definitely stick to no diapers at all, everyone has to be on the same page. Don't get angry, rather praise him and give him attention for when he goes to the bathroom. Try and be patient and stick to the no diaper rule, that's the only way. If you go back and forth he'll get confused. At the latest when he starts kindergarten he'll finish this, because he would be embarrassed with all the other kids there. Good luck. :-)
