or:Science is defined by some words that have special meanings, and most people forget them when they start talking. Science involves speculations, hypotheses, tests, conclusions, and theories. People quite often substitute consensus for tests and assume the other words are all the same. And this baloney is what they call \"scientific\". Examples abound. Black holes have been disproved many ways many times, but consensus likes the idea so it is considered \"scientific\". The idea that galaxies are moving away from each other and speed is proportional to distance is silly, but consensus likes the idea so it is considered \"scientific\". Some people line up fossil skulls to illustrate evolution, and you can get the same effect using skulls from living species, but consensus loves evolution so it is considered \"scientific\". It reaches a point where you start to wonder who supports these dingbats.
