Adhesive for bonding polypropylene to polypropylene?

Hi all, Im doing a project in which requires me to bond polypropylene to polypropylene. the surface area in which will need bonding together is symmetrical to each other.
Now this is were it gets tricky.
The adhesive must be a double sided tape or film.
It must be compliant with FDA regulations in terms of been approved for indirect contact with food.
The surface area of the bonding will be roughly 10mm in width and 220mm long.
Price is a big factor on this working so if you have several recommendations i would love to hear them.
The finished product will have to support 2kg (5lbs apx) of weight, so as you can see the adhesive will have to be strong.

Any help/recommendations or alternatives would be most appreciated!
