or:I'm sorry you haven't had any responses to your question but could I ask you to describe what you mean by 'maniac' to get more helpful and specific answers? E.g. Do you feel out of control and do things that are harmful to yourself? Please don't worry, there are things you can do:Firstly, have you asked you doctor why they think you don't have Bipolar? Get them to explain clearly and don't be afraid to ask more questions until it makes sense to you. What are your reasons for thinking you have such a specific disorder as Bipolar? Can someone close to you give you some different insights into your behaviour - this could help identify your problems.Do you think that you have settled into a habit of thinking too negatively and this may just need a little work? Are external factors like work or people making you stressed possible causes of your MDD? If so, there are things you can definitely do right now. Please remember that most people have ups and downs and this a normal part of life; the best thing you can do is be understanding of yourself like you would be of a friend when they have a problem/difficulty and then look for a way to handle your emotions. Most often, the best way is to see things as a good challenge and an opportunity to learn.I hope this helps a little. Be strong.Best wishes,Alice
