or:just ask her. your period isn't suppose to be embarrassing. id recommend tampons because there is a less chance of leaking at night and since i switched to tampons my cramps aren't as bad. and if your mom says that it might take your virginity (like my mom did) its not true. don't let her ask a pharmacist. let her ask your family doctor. but if your cramps etc are unbearable you can get prescription drugs that will help.
