Any suggestions on how to get rid of fleas? I have tried absolutely everything. My cat has been at my mom's place for the past month, so I don't know how they are even still alive. I have had the place professionally bombed by exterminators, and I've even bombed it myself. I have tried everything from borax to diatomaceous earth, and these things just seem to live through it all. I even did a jar test and put like 10 of them in jars with borax, baking soda, diatomaceous earth, multiple brands of flea killers that are supposed to kill on contact, but these damned things STILL live through it. I am seriously at a loss. I have spent so much money trying to get rid of these damned things, and nothing works. I would move, but I can't afford to do that at the moment, and I am so sick and tired of these f**king fleas!!! Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated...

or:I can only tell you from personal experience and what fosters tell me in the rescue I volunteered with for years.The one and only flea bomb I recommend is Zodiac. The problem with flea bombs is that usually people dont buy enough. They try to save money or don't read the instructions. I buy extra. If you have an upstairs you buy for that floor separately. First floor won't do it.You crate the critters and put them in the car and you remove food and water bowls. You set off a bunch of the Zodiac bombs and leave with the critters for however long the instructions say.You come back and you treat each critter with Advantage drops on the back of the neck. Make sure you have the right dosage for the size of the cat. Another thing people don't pay attention to. Do not use cat meds on a dog or vice versa.Those are the only two products I know work. Flea collars suck and can kill cats. Dawn dish soap is for seabirds not cats. You've NEVER seen them advertise with cats only sea critters who have been in an oil spill. Baby shampoo does just as well but neither product kills fleas. They just get washed off or drown and the product won't kill your cat. Some fleas won't wash off and you have to flea comb them out.Be aware that cats who go outside need to be treated with Advantage consistently. Indoor only cats can, on occasion, get fleas because in particularly bad flea seasons you can bring them inside on your shoes and pant legs. I'm not fond of pills for fleas because the flea has to bite the cat in order to die. That's like you using mosquito repellant but the insect has to bite you to die!Good luck.
