Are my chickens stressed out?

I just got 4 sebright chickens from friends. We keep them in a rabbit cage in an indoor area a lot. one just died. Now we have 2 hens and one roost

I just got 4 sebright chickens from friends. We keep them in a rabbit cage in an indoor area a lot. one just died. Now we have 2 hens and one rooster. The rooster wasn't eating, drinking or moving inside the rabbit cage, and recently we took hay out of the rabbit cage. When I put the rooster and hens outside, though, the rooster moved around a bit and drank some water.
