Are you a good person if you feel bad for hurting someone emotionally but you still keep doing it?

or:You can try to justify what you are doing and cover it up by claiming to feel guilty but that doesn't change anything. You still did it and you continue to do it.When you do something bad and are sorry about it and vow to never do it again then you've learned a lesson and ultimately if you follow that vow, what you did may be forgivable. You may then become a changed and good person.When you knowingly do something bad and keep on doing it you are not a changed person. Claiming you feel guilt is either a flat out lie and a cheesy way to try and excuse what you do, or it a deep psychological problem. Guilt makes you stop if It's real.So the answer is no it does not make you a good person. It simply adds to your bunch of bad because you are trying to excuse yourself and you are lying.
