In 2010, I passed the Matriculation Exam with 5 Distinctions and my parents wanted me to join the University of Medicine and I did After several months, while in the Botany Class, a teacher told us, I forgot the full sentence but the phrases I still remember and will never forget in my life was - " Machines as you see, your mobiles and laptops, cannot think". I shook my head and later I was searching to prove that she was wrong. That was the day when I had heard about Alan Turing. After reading some of his published works, I found out we shared many same philos and thinking. That was the day I know myself that I was in the wrong place, UM will never be my place and I will never be a great doc. After being inspired by Alan Turing, I started learning about hardware of a computer by myself. My family never wants me to quit UM but I did.I quit UM and I joined a Computing class in a private college. Within few days, I developed a PC by myself and soon, I felt really happy that I was finally in the field which makes me happy. And again because of my hard-work, I was crowned as the Best Student of the Year. Now, I could say Hardware, Software Coding and Graphic Designs are areas of my expertise. Sometime, I feel like I was wrong to quit UM and made my parents to feel disappointed. Many neighbors sniffs at my parents because my parents proudly told them their son is gonna-be-a-doc but I will never be. I feel I was a useless bad son.

or:I paid attention to you as you asked, it's time you paid attention to yourself.You have to do what makes you happy, your life is lived only by you, you are the master of it and the choices that are made about it are only yours to make.You were under pressure to do what would make your parents proud, they should be proud that you are a happy productive member of society, a person respected in their field of expertise and most of all proud because they are your parents.Unless they are doctors, they don't know what it means to be a doctor, this is not a choice you can make for your child, if it is just so that their neighbours will give them respect then it is a terrible thing to do to a child. You are their flesh and blood, not a piece in a game to be moved on a whim. You have done the right thing.
