Best way to get a Visa for India?

So I am an Au pair currently in Germany and naturally have a Visa for Germany, however after this one year I am planning on going to Goa India for 5,

So I am an Au pair currently in Germany and naturally have a Visa for Germany, however after this one year I am planning on going to Goa India for 5, 6 months straight from Germany. Without going back to the Usa (because it's too expensive and ect.). So I need a Visa for India where I am able to apply and get one without being in my home country is there a way? Also heard about a 10 year Visa any knowledge on that and the requirements?
