My transmission just blew in my 67 chevelle Malibu (4 door if you were wondering). The transmission I have now is a turbo 350. I have a 355 engine and my friend has a truck with a 6 cylinder in it with a three on the tree I was wondering if it would hold behind my engine and if it will fit in my car. Also how to put his transmission in my car and keep it a 3 on the tree because I don't want to change it to the floor. Its just to common.

or:Yes you can do it. You would need to find a bell housing for a 350(small block chevy) transmission should bolt up to that. Then you need to find a steering colum with the shifter on it, dont forget the linkage. I would go to salvage yard.
