Blocking feature changed in latest update? can no longer see comments of a blocked profile?

I had a user blocked, the same user had me blocked. I unblocked him to see if I was no longerblocked, and now I cant block him back, access the profil

I had a user blocked, the same user had me blocked. I unblocked him to see if I was no longerblocked, and now I can't block him back, access the profile or even search for the comments (this was the method people used before). Any solution? I tried sending the user profile link from another account I have and it didn't work. Did instagram change the blocking feature and didn't let us know ?
