Call animal control on a possibly dangerous dog?

I live like 5 houses away from the house at the corner. The person there owns a dog that looks like a pit bull but different. Either way the dog seems dangerous. They have a wooden fence that is kinda messed up from the bottom. When my sister, my mom, and I walk past the house the dog starts barking aggressively and hits the fence a bit. I worried that it will break the wooden fence one day and attack someone. Should i call animal control to check it out cuz my mom had surgery and its healing( shes allowed to walk). If i dont call animal control who do i call.
