Can a dog be traumatized?

We had a black Labrador retriever then we got a small jack Russell puppy. Then a couple of months after we got the puppy the black Labrador passed awa

We had a black Labrador retriever then we got a small jack Russell puppy. Then a couple of months after we got the puppy the black Labrador passed away and now that the puppy has grown up every time she sees a black Labrador she attacks and barks at them. Can she be traumatized after the other dog passed because she grew up with him? What should I do to stop this behavior?

or:Yes Dogs can be traumatized my dad was a dog trainer ( paws and stripes) so I know about dogs. you can look up ways to keep your dog from being traumatized any longer but they might not work cause dogs can be traumatized for their whole life.
