I have a set of dark grey/pewter medical scrubs I need to lighten up a few shades in order to comply with my hospital's uniform policy. Have you ever heard of someone lightening up a garmet in the wash that wasn't white using bleach? What bleach:water ratio should I use? The scrubs are one solid color so i'm not too concerned with bleeding colors I am worried about blotching however.

or:i think it should just be enough or better if you can bring it on a dry cleaning shop or a laundry shop

or:Yr best success would b 2dye them in abucket. Fill 1/2 bucket with cold water, then add 3 -4dessertspoons to the bucket of water. Then add some more cold water until 2/3 full. This mixes the bleach +water.Add clothes +cover with water. Leave.Removeclothes when faded 2 desired colour.ONLY ADD MORE BLEACH if after 11/2 hrsYour clothes aren't faded enough.Only add another 3 -4 spoonful.Leave.BE CAREFUL OF BLEACH - don't touch or let it spray yr skin, eyes, etc. HANDLE with care. When finished rinse carefully then turn tap on clothes.(wash away bleach)Rinse bucket +fill with cold water only.Add bleached clothes -this will set colour +also dilute remaining bleach.Leave about 1/2 hr. Rinse with cold water a bit.U now have new coloured clothes. Safe 2 washetc...U can go 2 a laundry/ dry cleaners but thiscosts nothing except a bottle of bleach +bucket+ dessertspoon from charity.(No kitchenware.)
