Can I transfer my bank account, One state to another state SBI Branch Without my presence in Bank ?

Hello Sir, I Have a SBI Saving bank account in Pathankot(Punjab), Now my job transferred to another State. and I have a Other SBI Account in my native place of Gujarat. Now a day In my Native Place SBI Account's Address replace as of my Pathankot branch. Now i wanted to Create salary account as my native SBI branch account, but their branch manager said it can't be changed because of your address. they said to me if you transfer my account or close my of account of Pathankot, then it will be possible.
So I wanted to Continued my Pathankot account and transfer in my Native Place SBI Branch.
Please Sir Provide Information regarding, Have any legal way to transfer my account of Pathankot (Punjab) to My Native Place without my presence required in Pathankot Branch ?
