Our bumper trailer is being converted to full-time living and some travel. There is water damage and a few soft spots so we need to replace the roof and some of the walls. We also need to re-frame the slide out. This is actually ideal because we can rebuild it into something more like a home. I was wondering if there is any reason why we couldn't/shouldn't replace a rubber roof with a metal one? Specifically a Corrugated metal roof.
We also plan on raising the roof and I have found minimal info on that as well. My husband has an idea as to how he wants to do it, I'm just shocked no one has tried it before (to my knowledge). In Short, Is metal roof and siding ok on a bumper trailer? Do you know anything about raising the roof on an RV?

or:You have to ask a local RV mechanic to inspect what you have and advise you on what to do.
