I'm a very shy guy and I always have trouble telling if a girl is interested or not. Two or three months ago, the company where I work hired new security guards, all girls. I can't tell if one of them is flirting with me, or just being nice. I'm a smoker, I go outside of the office every now and then for a cigarrette. Once in a while, she'll escort a client to our sales department and pass by me. She'll always say hi and smile at me in a friendly way and hold eye contact longer. The other female security guards also say hi, but they never smile at me. I'm very bad at small talk, a few times she told me I should quit, cause it's bad for me. We exchanged some words a couple more times, but very briefly, as I am not really allowed to take more than 5 min break. I find her attractive, but I am terrified of rejection even more so at work., yet I realise it's pretty unlikely she'll ask me out.
What do you think? Is there any potential? Should I ask her out? Should I try to find out more about her (like..her name), or should I just let it slide?

or:well, try your best to make more conversation, like ask her maybe why she wanted to do that job, or if she tells you that you should quit again, say \"maybe i will\" and smile. cos that shows your thinking about taking her advice. i know girls love that. im a girl, and i always love it when guys take my advice. and just try to communicate more, talk about anything, anything that comes to mind. if she tilts her head while you guys are talking, or plays with her hair, that means shes interested. maybe try ignoring her for a bit, and if you see any sign of jealousy, shes totally into you. and if you do get the nerve to talk about random stuff, if she gives you all her attention, with full eye contact, she is still interested. or try to tell some jokes, and if she laughs, then yeah, its pretty obvious. even if their not funny. yeah thats all i can think of at the moment but good luck :) hope all goes well for you :D
