As I currently stand 20160323 I am in the process of enlistment for the U.S. Army, and I was wondering if it is okay for me to wear a tac cap with an American Flag on it? I have read some things on it, and as far as I have seen it is okay as long as I'm not trying to pose as a Veteran. Also should it be okay for an American citizen to show off his flag? What would be the difference between me flying the flag in front of my house(which I do) and wearing it on my hat? If I could have some input from some vets that would be helpful. I am not trying to disrespect anyone in out Military by wearing it, nor am I trying to offend some vets.

or:As a former vetren, I can assure you that there is nothing wrong with wearing the flag. You are protected by the first amendment and as long as you are not trying to receive a military discount prior to your service, you will be fine.
