Client hasn't paid me for cleaning job?

I work as an independent housecleaner in San Diego, CA. I find most of my clients through craigslist. Last weekend I've been doing a big move out cleaning, when I finished I called the lady who hired me to take a look at my work and bring me my check. She said that her child doesn't feel well and she has to go to a hospital, she will swing by my house tomorrow and drop of the check. And now this lady ignores my phone calls and texts. Is there anything I can do to make her pay me?
