I desperately need advice on how to handle the boss's pet repeatedly trying to sabotage my job and my reputation at work. I love my career and I'm very confident in my abilities. I also do not want to burn any bridges, as our community is very small. I'm not exceptional close to any of the fifteen women I work with, but I always try to be friendly and positive. I live by this creed, "Make it a priority to be there for your co-workers, to always be willing to help, to offer advice and to help them do better work and to have more fun on the job- no matter how they treat you. I previously worked for the same boss (male) for over ten years and never dealt with this type of employee. I got multiple raises without asking. We all worked harmoniously and felt like family, so it broke my heart he retired. I'm in a new office with a female boss and have been employed for over nine months. I've been promised raises and have asked when we could sit down and discuss what I need to do to get the promised amount. No discussions have happened with my new boss and I'm intuitively feeling that this employee is in the center.
This employee gossips, lies, and twists my words to my co-workers and my boss. She's openly makes fun of my ideas at office meetings. She's told me incorrect office policies and denies when confronted. I've documented every situation and have had to do extra work to clean up areas, where I found she tried to sabotage duties I had already completed. I have talked to my boss and was told, "This employee has been burned in the past with other employees, so you have to understand where she is coming from." I've also confided in two other employees and was told she doesn't like you and you need to be careful dealing with her, because it's not worth being on her bad side.
There has been high employee turnover in this office and I want to make sure I've exhausted all possibilities to overcome this situation and continue to take the high road. I'm also feeling anxiety and my confidence in "Truth will Prevail" is diminishing. Please help me with any advice.

or:your doing good with keeping track of what she is doing you could go to labor and industries but that might be a little more then you want in your employers bussiness what really works for me and i have used it myself kill her with kindness then when she is sneaking around smile at her this always works because they don't expect go right up to her and address her with kindness say her name and say how is your day is there anything i can be of extra help with it will get to her so bad and she will not know what to do address her in front of everybody say something like i like you and i want to help you if i can this to will get to her when she sabatoges your work say something like i know what you did but thats okay wanna go have coffee it will stop but you have to keep doing what i put in this letter smile at her every chance you get she won't know what to do
