Was trying to make it easier on mother to be and not create an entirely separate baby shower so said I would combine with her mother and contribute to cost. I had no say in planning of party other than venue (in which I am fine with paying cost associated with my guest). I was never asked about a budget or if I agreed on cost of anything. This event is for 80 people and I have 15 people who are attending.

or:It sounds like you \"agreed to contribute to the cost\" not pay half. I think you should give the co-host what you can afford to and if she doesn't like it explain to her she should have consulted you about the budget and expenditures first. But i dont think it should have anything to do with how many people each of you invited.
