Creating bookmarks in indesign?

... different files to create my catalog all into one. Question is : I am trying to do bookmarks , so that when I PDF the book ..the bookmarks will show up in acrobat. But my problem is that you can only book mark each file separately and not as a whole book…..I want my book marks to be for the whole book and to be in alphabetical order. …not by file and in the order I put the bookmarks in. IS THIS POSSIBLE?
