I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota 2.5l RWD and I can hear and feel a deep thumping noise when decelerating or braking but not when accelerating. It sounds like it’s coming from the front driver wheel well, just replaced bearings and they were fine. It is in tune with my speed so when I go faster the thumping is faster

or:It sounds like your CV joint bearning. I know you said they were replaced. If it was replaced with a used salvaged CV joint you may still have the same problem? I had a similar situation years ago and replaced the cv joint with a used one and found out that it too failed within 5 weeks. It is best to spend money and buy all new parts. See if there is a warranty for parts and service for the replaced parts?

or:Maybe your brakes (the disk part) is a little bent so when you apply the brakes you notice it way more. It might be wabbling through the brake pads every rotation.
