Hi, I found that my gf's Twitter and she tweeted that "three beers later, I'm still not over that awkward date." a couple of weeks ago. Does it mean she was dating with other boy? Or do girls use the word "date" when they meet their female friend??

or:I'm a girl and I would probably never refer to me handing out with another female as a 'date' unless they were a romantic interest. She was probably dating someone else prior to you, but I think I'd be dumb for you to lose sleep over a dumb tweet. i doubt you have anything to worry about.
