or:My first interaction with Shakespeare was, with most people, in school. When forced to endure what i believed a difficult subject, especially with the written language being so different to modern English. It was Romeo and Juliet that i was forced upon me, and to this day i find it the least of his works. However, I did come back to WS of my own accord when a friend invited me to see the \"Scottish play\". Not only did the passion the actors gave to the roles change my mind but the base understanding of the concept of flaw humans just trying to get thing done. When i decided to read more i discovered that Shakespeares strength was, to me, the ability to write characters that people can identify with, even from hundreds of years ago. Another interesting tidbit, there are people out there that believe that Shakespeare was not a person but a pen name. A pen name from a group of writers headed by Sir Francis Bacon. Sometimes that meta can be just as interesting as the works themselves.(If you are going to use this in some sort of assignment, pad with examples and quotes. teacher types love that stuff.)
