or:The point of the story is that you get to decide whether to believe it. God gives choices. God's word always causes division. It divides believers from unbelievers. If the story had come from the devil there would be proofs and various attempts to force you to believe it.

Many question if this truly happens thinking that nobody saw him or that it's just hear say. But the scriptures at 1 corinthians 6-8 states that 500 people at one time saw the resurrected Messiah. Jesus even invited ones to come and touch him so that people wouldn't believe it was an illusion. (Luke 24:36-39) It would have been more debatable if maybe just a few people saw Jesus after his death on one occasion. Rather over 500 people saw him and also not just on one occasion but multiple times. So yes Jesus did rise from the dead.
