Do I have to pay child support for a child I was never notified of?
A girl from my past came to me recently and told me that she has a child by me from over 12 years ago this is the first Ive heard of it she said that
A girl from my past came to me recently and told me that she has a child by me from over 12 years ago this is the first I've heard of it she said that she has tested four other guys and that the child is not theirs and I am the only one that it could possibly be she said that she did not contact me in those twelve years to notify me because she had too much going on just been in and out of prison and she only recently found out how to contact me by coming to my house the crazy part is I have not moved in all those years so she obviously knew how to contact me there has been no DNA test I want to know what my next step should be am I obligated to pay back child support on a child I was never notified of do I have to pay child support do I have to get a DNA test what should my next step be I know there is obviously some kind of game or scam involved in this I really do not have the money for a lawyer as I have recently became a single parent of two other children from the a nother relationship which pretty much broke me with lawyer fees would someone please help me what are my obligations here what are my options should I pay for a private DNA test myself should I meet with the child

or:Tell her to get lost. Let her figure out what to do. If she files suit, then it's up to her to pay for DNA tests to prove her case. Until then it's not your problem.
or:dna is the only way to go with it situation you need to get one and if it turns out the child is yours i would try and be a dad as you will regret it for rest of your life. if the child not then shows the results and walk and forget it
