Do you think it's possible for sports to replace war?

it would be much better to settle conflicts with sports than killing each other. i know this wont happen but thats the world i would like to see. or:i

or:Yeah, if its blood sport. No one is going to watch to settle a possible war over a game of golf. Man has a primal side, its why we've survived as long as we have and like all living things who have it, it helps ensure are survival. If true blood sport was broadcast over the internet I think ud b surprised how many would watch, I'd put it in the hundreds of millions. If gladiatoral sport became real again, ufc and boxing would bebankrupt overnight. Now, if u wanted to settle a dispute by sending ur best squad against theirs in an area of several city blocks. That would b cool.
