I've heard that people need a degree to be good at designing floor plans, though I've taught myself how to make professional looking floor plans and how to use the software. why wouldn't I be able to teach myself photography, does anyone have experience or know someone who does photography for a living who didn't go to school?

or:its depends what kind of photographer you want to be .if you can proof that you got a lot of experience and did some freelance jobs then you chance is bigger to be a professional photographer. Good luck
