Does an epidural hurt?

or:It's very similar to a pinch. It doesn't hurt to much but you are aware that it's there until the medicine kicks in or inbetween contractions. I was highly after of needles and it made me nauseous just looking at one but having someone to hold onto and not looking at the needle before hand really helps also I worried so much about it weeks before I went into labor that it made the last two weeks torture but I PROMISE when your having contractions fear of the needle does not even begin to compete with wanting the medicine
