TO ANYBODY READING THIS ID LIKE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT "Dry Socket".
Have you had it? Is it the worst thing ever?
I am in excruciating pain from a tooth extraction I had done last Thursday on the 28th. I have had two other molar extractions and neither of them hurt this bad.. on the 30th i tried to go in for a check up but my mom would not let me. i tried again on the 31st (forgetting it was Sunday) and i got in trouble because an aspirin didn't take the pain away.. by this time the blood clot was halfway gone and i was told not to worry as long as some of it is still in there. so i tried forgetting about it dealt with the throbbing pain and when i woke up this morning the white layer that usually covers the blood clot was green (so i rinsed with salt water). the green layer fell off about two minuets later only to reveal that both of the holes where the roots were pulled from have been completely rotten and filled with black and green "gunk"....
i called my dentist over here in Farmington, new mexico ( Dr.Mann ) and he wont take me till tomorrow and thats still not even positive because they take appointments first and I'll be a walk in.. so I could be dealing with this being untreated for another 24 hours or more ..
HELP? ADVICE? Is there another walk in dentist I can see, here, that takes medicaid, or should I just wait till tomorrow... PLEASE HELP!? :(

or:This is the thing to do look see if the blood clots are still in them if they are it still might have infection in them if they are not its dry socket they can be very painful so bad not good this will cause the dentist to pack them so they have something to heal by i would go to the dentist as soon as you can.

or:Take calcium pills to control the pain and go back to the dentist who pulled the tooth. Get there as soon as possible.
