If your 10yr jack russell dog bites you for the 4th time & you have to get stitches do you keep him or euthanize? He has separation anxiety with his owner & anytime someone knocks on the door, it triggers his aggression and he attacks (the owner). She has gotten stitches on her arm because that's usually what he goes for. He clenched his jaw and shook her arm. She needed several stitches.

He bit her 3 other times & received stitches once.
He is her baby & she loves him dearly. She tried trainers, shock collars, calming pads, doggie Prozac & xanex, herbal calming drops, etc.

What does she do? Euthanize? Rescue group? Live with it & pray it doesn't happen again?

or:First off, I will give you my advice on how to fix separation anxiety, when the owner leaves and comes home, don't give the dog ANY attention. Don't even look the dogs way, and when you come home, wait about 10-15 mins before giving the dog attention, same thing goes for before you leave, don't give them any attention 10-15 mins before you leave. & when he bites, EVER, after telling him not to bite once, give him a toy so he knows that is what you want him chewing on & biting, not human, & completely get up and ignore him for about 10 mins. & Also, I have a question, does the owner have a kennel? Because if he or she kennel trains the dog, my advice for the separation anxiety will work better. That is what I do with my 16 week old rottweiler puppy and I've had him for about 8 weeks & he doesn't freak out when I get home or before I leave, anymore.
