or:They cannot, since resources are limited by the laws of the universe, nor is it their intent. Societies allocate the available resources in a manner they deem optimal for a common goal, which the individual would not manage as objectively. Essentially, all they provide is rules. Were resources unlimited & available to all men, society would dissolve, arguably, for lack of utility - that is a theme in various scifi works.
