The Bible says that God is \u201cready to forgive\u201d and that he \u201cwill forgive in a large way.\u201d (Nehemiah 9:17; Psalm 86:5; Isaiah 55:7) When he forgives us, he does so completely. Just the fact that you are aware of your short comings and you feel guilty and want to do better shows that your conscience is working and that\u2019s a good step in moving forward to do better and win God\u2019s approval. The best antidote in living a clean life and becoming close to God and being counted as God\u2019s friend is trying your best to follow closely the information in the Bible, the manual that he gives us to live a better life, clean and acceptable to him. From experience I could say the best life ever is having the almighty God as my best friend. How can we become God\u2019s friend? Let\u2019s use the Bible His manual he gave us to answer that question:1) James 4:8, \u201cDraw close to God and He will draw close to you.\u201d God is giving you an invitation to become his friend.2) Psalms 97:10, \u201c O you who love God hate what is bad..\u201d We can\u2019t expect to be friends of God if we partake in things he hates.3) Psalm 83:18, \u201cMay people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.\u201dGod gives us his name to use it so we can identify him by his name Jehovah when we are referring to him using his personal name. 4) Deuteronomy 5:9, \u201cJehovah your God, am a God who requires exclusive devotion.\u201d Only Jehovah deserves your worship and he expects you to serve him only. 5) Psalm 26:5, \u201cHate the company of evil men, and refuse to associate with the wicked.\u201d If we want God\u2019s approval we have to disassociate ourselves from those who likes wickedness.6) Matthew: 22:37, \u201c You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.\u201d To stay God\u2019s friend we have to love Jehovah with every thing we have, and if we do our best friend Jehovah will never abandon us. 7) 1 Thessalonians, \u201cPray constantly.\u201d Never underestimate the power of prayers. Call on Jehovah to help you to be pleasing in his eyes and he will help you.Prayer to Jehovah is a privilege we have that no one could take away from us.Bringing our lives in harmony with Jehovah\u2019s teachings we could never go wrong, even when we make mistakes and acknowledge our wrong doing he will never leave us. Our God knows we are not perfect and so he does not expect perfection from us. But even though we are not perfect Jehovah expects us to try our best to please him. So please know there is no one who could understand you better than Jehovah. He could read your heart and knows your intentions, so never doubt that he can help you to be a faithful person to him. Jehovah is the all powerful and he can give you the power you need to be a good person in his eyes. Please accept the special invitation he is giving you to draw close to him, you will surely be making the best decision you ever made in your life, by gaining the best friendship ever.
