or:Does your device have rooot? if it does there are some softwares that can back up device data even if the deice is password protected. First connect to pc and download the software. U can search backup locked device and multiple softwares will popup. Once u have connected the phone, go to download mode by pressing voloume down, home and power button all at the same time. then u can back up device. After that go to the phone's recovery by using the volume up, home and power button. Then use ur volume buttons to scroll and power button to select the factory reset option and hit yes. Then once its factory reset, connect phone to pc again and restore all your data.Hope this helped.
