Im 13, and have recently noticed that when watching tv I can't always see small things such as the score of a football game, sometimes in school, I can't read the bored at school. My whole family has glasses, so should I ask to get my eyes checked, or are they fine?

or:Hahaha, well, my entire family has glasses too. But I wouldn't freak out about it. Calm down, first of all (:p) and then readjust your eyes. You may have just been watching tv/playing games too long or it may be the lighting messing with your CYMB receptors. Wait until tomorrow morning and if things still seem blurry after 30 minutes, then get your eyes checked.

or:I had the same thing happen to me. I noticed it when I woke up and couldn't see the clock, I went on for about 7 months not seeing easily and it became a problem but I waited until they checked my eyes at school. You should talk to your parents about glasses. Sorry about that I know how nervous it must be for you to go to school with glasses on. I'm 15. :(

or:Since your at an age where you are probably hitting a growth spurt, your whole family has glasses, you can't see the scores on TV and sometimes can't see the board at school I would say you probably have become a little nearsighted and need to see an eye doctor to see if you need glasses. I was at your age when I had the same symptoms (not being able to see scores on TV and not being able to see the board at school) but I waited until failing the schools vision screening the next year at school before telling my parents. Within a few weeks I had an eye exam, found out I was nearsighted and had an astigmatism in both eyes and began wearing glasses. After getting my glasses and seeing the difference in how well I could see I was sorry I waited to tell my parents.
