... months ago I became pregnant, but miscarriaged I was only fourteen and he was seventeen (obviously). An officer became involved and said he was going to press charges but neither me or my mom want charges pressed! Two days ago we found out by his probation officer that the officer decided to file charges January 12 class 4 misdemeanor. His probation officer said there is a possibility he could be sent to "state" in Richmond but she's making a recommendation not to because my boyfriend hasn't gotten in any trouble for about a year and a half or so and he has a job, is doing great with school and probation. I have decided that I don't want to testify or press charges what is likely to happen? He is going to have a court appointed lawyer. PLEASE HELP!

or:Sex with a minor, a child under law.. he's going to get jail time. It's out of your hands. I'm sorry if it's not what you want to hear but that's how your judicial sytem works. Your only way to help him is to testify in his favour, that is if you want to influence the court to reduce any potential custodial sentence.

or:well if the probation officer said she wasn't going to act on the charge but that she wasn't she wasn't going to act on that charge because the judge normally listens to the probation officer he may have gotten really lucky that they aren't really worried about it i think it depends on how the judge feels along with the probation officer this is dependive on her and the judge so i think it should be okay but you really don't know till you get in front of the judge

or:Unless he confessed, the state has to prove that he had sex with you. Unless they have DNA evidence, that may not be possible if you say in court that you did not have sex with him. Instead say that you had a one night stand with a guy. You never met him again and don't recall his name or didn't ask, and you can't recall what he looks like. And for every other question, you don't know and/or can't recall. You may have to say, I don't recall 50 times before they give up and stop trying to intimidate you.And you are morally justified to lie because, in this case, the state is vicious and evil. Regardless of any law, you are not morally required to support evil. It is like in Nazi Germany when the police asked someone if they were hiding a Jew and they denied it; they were morally justified to lie.
